Preserving Shelby County’s story with care and community pride

Founded by local historians and civic leaders, the Shelby County Historical Museum has served as a steward of our shared heritage for decades. Museum history

Parking and accessible entry available on the south and east side of the building.

Summer Visiting Hours

  • 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month, 1:00 to 5:00 PM
  • Every Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 am
  • Every Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 pm
  • Every Thursday evening from 5:30 to 8:30 pm

Appointments available for researchers outside regular hours.
